
Pemberton offers a quieter, more rural lifestyle with a but of a slower pace, but we’re just 30 minutes from Whistler, which is ideal if you work there or go there often to ski or mountain bike. There are lots of mountain biking trails here in Pemberton though, and skiing if you like to get out into the back country. Really, living in Pemberton gives you the best of both mountain lifestyles — quiet, rural living with access to some of the best outdoor sports and recreation in North America!
As far as amenities go, Pemberton has a hospital, doctor’s office, dental offices, multiple wellness, massage and physical therapy providers, and a few gyms! The public library and community centre is arguably the most beautiful gem of the community, located in the centre of town in an absolutely stunning building. The town maintains small-town charm is not lost here, we have a “General Store” that carries clothing, work wear, gifts, kids stuff, footwear, and all sorts of other general goods that you didn’t know you needed. The weekly farmers' market in the spring, summer and fall brings the community together at the open-air barn, and all sorts of local produce and goods can be found for sales there. There are two grocery stores, a health food store, gift shops and two cannabis retailers.
If mountains, rivers and lakes are your thing, almost everywhere you look, you will have quick access to one or more of those. Mount Currie towers over town and offers the most iconic view. There are several lakes, One Mile being the most popular with biking and hiking trails, swimming, and ice skating in the winter. Multiple rivers and creeks flow through town.
Real estate prices are generally less than they would be for comparable properties in the Sea to Sky south of Pemberton, but don’t just take my word for it.
